Playa Flamenca.

Playa Flamenca is an extremely vibrant, popular and an exceptionally well known part of the Orihuela Costa, situated between Punta Prima & La Zenia (under the N332 at Mercadona and around the Mercadona area) are the Playas Flamenca. Playa Flamenca has recently undergone some major changes with the coastal path and promenade being modernised and improved and, with the N332 expansion programme, well under way to make access faster and easier. Playa Flamenca is recognised as one of the Orihuela Costa's most popular locations. boasting 2 delightful beaches (plus a few quieter coves and even the Playa Nudista -accessed via steps cut into the rock face roughly between the Punta Prima & Playa Flamenca beaches), a massive array of dining and nightlife experiences and the peace and tranquility of sleeping near the sea.

There is fun, fun fun to be had and it is  plentiful in and around Playa Flamenca, both by day and by night.
For the kids (of all ages of course) there are the Go-Karts, situated just along from the Carrefour on the N332, with a mini fun fair on occasion. As stated already, there are the beautiful beaches, with volleyball courts,  and the place is awash with places to dine, drink and make merry, from a Burger King to thehugely popularPlaya Flamenca Centre .

The Playa Flamenca Centre is a haven of variety and a hive of excitement, particularly in the summer months. It probably boasts the largest selection of cafes, bars restaurants, shops, and entertainments in the local area and is great for nights out, rendering even the most headonistic of us to jelly. There are 3 floors of eating, drinking and playing for those who like their nightlife loud and with a party atmosphere.

For those who prefer a quieter night out, there is also the more subdued La Mosca centre, for those who prefer a quieter dink or meal; both providing shopping, fine dining and drinking emporiums to cater to all who may come upon Playa Flamenca, along with some pretty nice places on the main drag at the beaches.

Recommended. Playa Flamenca. In no particular order.

Playa Flamenca Go-Karts
N332 (fun filled days) . Great fun for kids of all ages, staying open late in the summer months, with cafeteria to suit budget days out.

Maxx Gym (health & fitness)
Humongous space with the usual gym offerings, great views over the coast, an impressive range of therapies and classes and also have special day passes and 10 visit passes for those on holiday.

Times Square
After finishing your workout at Maxx Gym, head downstairs to this American bar & diner. A great menu of impressive, cooling and refreshing cocktails, beers and special offers, coupled with American size food portions make this an instant success.
Whilst the food is very good, the service can tend to be a 'little' slow.

Sunrise
On the 1st floor terrace of La Mosca Centre, Sunrise sits above the N332, overlooking the Mediterranean, all the way to La Manga. Great value for a Menu-Del-Dia,  and  regular Specials, which you have to book for, but well worth it....a long, refreshing cocktail or a beer and great for sundowners and delicious evening meals. Has mini-golf for the kids too.

Playas Flamenca (Flamenca Beaches)
Much reputed favourite beaches with both visitors and locals alike, this, blue flag, immaculate beach is perfect for a day of chilling, sunbathing and with a chiringito (beach bar), serving snacks and drinks until late. Why not enjoy a day under the sun and listen to the gentle waves of the Mediterranean (remember the factor 20+ though).
Close enough to bars and restaurants for those who seek respite from the sun or those who just want that delicious sangria in a more shaded or air-conditioned atmosphere..
