La Zenia.

La Zenia is another great Orihuela Costa  all year round favourite with holiday makers both from Spain and elsewhere. La Zenia's best known landmark is the La Zenia Hotel, sitting on a rock-face, right on the edge of the Mediterranean, with pristine beaches either side of it and visible from all around, especially at night with the great big neon 'H' on it's roof.

Sadly, because ofthe location of the Hotel and, even though the 2 beaches are immaculate, with crystal claer waters, La Zenia has never been awarded any of the Blue Flags, that some of the other beaches on the Orihuela Costa have. This is because of Spanish laws stating that there should not be any buildings within 30 metres of the shore and as La Zenia Hotel is on the edge of the water, albeit on a rock face, then the beaches will never get that all -important status.
HOWEVER, this doesn't stop thousands of visitors every year, descending onto one of the Orihuela Costa's most perfect and cleanest beaches.
Around the main area of La Zenia, there is a great and varied range of restaurants, cafes bars and shops to keep locals and visitors alike happy, with well known favourites like Paddy's Point, Al & Benny's and Alejandros to keep hunger at bay and light up the nights for those who want to stay local.

O.C. Recommended in La Zenia. In no particular order.

Hotel La Zenia
Stay at this 4* hotel, on the point at La Zenia between La Zenia's prefect beaches. Has private swimming pools, so get pampered and spoiled (if, of course, your wallet can afford it).
Playas La Zenia
Like Playa Flamenca, these beaches, 1 each side of the Hotel La Zenia are playgrounds for sunworshipers and kids alike. Sadly, no awards have been presented to these, due to the Hotel being built against Spanish Building regulations (should be at least 30 metres from the sea). However, this doesn't stop thousands of people enjoying the powder sands and cooling waters of the Mediterranean.
Al and Benny's
This American burger joint, N332 beachside offers the best in flame grilled burgers, health inducing salads and an impressive range of beers and cocktails.
Paddys Point
Traditional Irish Pub, you are sure to enjoy the craic here. Open late in the summertime and have special nights, bands etc to meet most tastes..
Coastal Walks
Go for a long walk along the coastal paths and paseos. Stunning views and great for getting fit or working up an appetite.
