You are never more than a stones throw away from somewhere decent to eat along the Orihuela Costa, whether it be a burger or hot dog, a morning, hangover-curing fry up, a coffee and a pastry, a lunchtime serving of Tapas, or a three course dinner (with wine of course...or whatever your poison is).
The Orihuela Costa is literally teeming with great places to eat, way too many to name them all on this page, but no matter which flavours you like, there will be something agreeable to your palate, from tapas to thai, burgers to bruschettas, steaks to seafood or kebabs to kippers, the massive range of restaurants & cafes along and in the urbanisations within the Orihuela Costa and it's neighbouring areas means that your tummies will be satisfied.
Dining out, particularly for those on holiday is a vital part of that holiday experience. If you live here, then it is your treat for hard work and a chance to realx in the company of family or friends, enjoying a tasty meal and possibly a bottle or two of your favourite tipple.
Each area on the Orihuela Costa, from Punta Prima, to Mil Palmeras has more than something to offer and the competition is fierce all along the coast and inland, from snacks to Michelin star dining experiences.
Generally, this can be great for you and your pocket. Many restaurants have special dining offers, 2 for 1's buy a meal get a free drink, early birds and staggeringly cheap 3 course meals with a drink (check out any of the chinese restaurants for this).
The Orihuela Costa dot com team have scoured (and staggered) through many, many of the dining experiences in the area and can whole heartedly say....TRY THEM ALL if you can.
BUT...as the saying goes....when in Rome (or the Orihuela Costa in this case), opt for:-
- The dizzying array of fresh seafood, baked, grilled, fried or raw.
- Try a Paella or three (after all, it originated in the Valencian region).
- Go out on a Tapas trail with friends and soak up the local flavours and try a few local vinos and sherries to accompany your food.
The whole reason for coming to a different country is to experience what it has on offer and the Orihuela Costa and indeed, Spain has a whole host of traditional and modern home grown flavours to offer, partnered with some of the best international cuisine around today
For the fussy, there are the buffets, which allows you to choose your meal and normally have it cooked just the way you like (the WOK & Indian buffets are generally good for this).
For the kids(of all ages), there are the usual suspects of McDonalds & Burger King, to fill those empty tummies and keep the kids happy.
