Even though many, many many....need we say more, of the bars and pubs along the Orihuela Costa stay opened until the wee, small hours, there are a breed of nocturnal night owls that like to party on until dawn and here on the Orihuela Costa, the Costa Blanca and all over Spain, there is a fantastic choice of nightclubs and late night dance bars, ready to squeeze another few people in, create the perfect headonistic atmpsphere and keep people happy, until well after the sun has risen

Many nightclubs on the Orihuela Costa and it's surrounding areas, like the rest of the Costa Blanca don't reall get going until after roghly 1.00 a.m. and have MASSIVE queues to get in (especially in holiday seasons and special events), so if you wanna go clubbing, then your choices are to get there early and wait for things to hot up, or take your chances with the queues, but be prepared to be patient.

There are also a large range of late night dance bars, pre-club dance events and post-club chill-outs for those who want their night out to go on and on. Places like Funky Bhudda in the Playa Flamenca Commercial Centre links as a pre-club boogie for Pacha etc etc.

So, what is out there for all you vampiric late night revellers ?

Lets start with the biggies...

PACHA, Torrevieja. (0034) 965 704 878 (information & prices).

Epicentre of the Southern Costa Blanca clubbing scene, Pacha Torrevieja is a well respected, internationally known and stylish and hip club to get down & dirty at. People flock here from all over the region (and the Costa Calida) for the 4 rooms, 2 floors of non-stop headonism, restaurant, outside area and V.I.P.area.
There is always an exciting event going on, from live acts to bachelor parties, from the very best in international D.J.s to the INFAMOUS PACHA FOAM PARTIES (FIESTAS de ESPUMA).
Pacha Torrevieja is an internationally renowned brand and was one of the first "mega clubs" on the Spanish dance scene and is the final word in late night entertainment on the Costa Blanca.
Well worth a night out, for the experience, Pacha Torrevieja has something to suit all musical tastes, from the House Room to the quiet outside area. This venue never fails to disappoint and attracts those from all walks of life, the jet-set, the trendy, the cool and the party people..all mix like the perfect cocktail in this remarkably beautiful venue.

KKO, Torrevieja. (965 703 522)

Another vast, emporium of dance, KKO packs them into the rafters too. Located not too far from Pacha, on the Poligono Industrial, Casa Grande 50....(behind the Genius Bar) this funky hall of all things house, attracts a slightly younger (and a bit more headonistic) crowd, with theme nights, spacial parties and FREE and REDUCED admission flyers (look out in the bars for these).
Check out the Garden House Room for a thumping good house party.

Revival, Los Montesinos. 966 724 641

Located slightly out of Torrevieja in neighbouring Los Montesinos (and in the middle of a field on the outskirts of the Town), Revival is the favourite of the house and techno set, boasting a great set of homegrown D.J.s, some of whom have played the European set, including Madrid, Barcelona, London  & beyond and playing an eclectic blend of funky house, tech-house & techno, with chill out zones, this venue could be just what you wanted if you wanted away from the main Town. A short Taxi ride will get you there, but again, as things don't really start hotting up until around 1.00, either get there early and be patient, or get in line and wait to get into the action.
Revival also run a Bus service (902 11 69 69 for more info.) if you don't want to take the chance with a Taxi, or don't wan't to take the car (not advisable).

Closer to Home.

Airo - Campoamor.
Situated in Campoamor, Airo have been advertising all along the Orihuela Costa this year (2009).
They run buses from Playa Flamenca to the club and back again throughout the night until approx. 7.30 a.m.

Although the big brands are outside of the Orihuela Costa, there are tons of late night dance bars and clubs within the Orihuela Costa's boundaries, meaning that if the big names aren't your thing, you are on a budget or you don't want to take the chance of possibly not getting a Taxi home (very possible, as late night Taxis in the Torrevieja area are like gold dust), then why not stay local and enjoy what there is on offer.
A whole host of the cocktail bars, bars and pubs become late night dance clubs, with well known local & outside D.Js, keeping your feet moving until sun up.

Places in the Playa Flamenca Centre (Funky Bhudda, So-Bar etc.), along the Cabo Roig strip, in Villamartin, Campoamor, Mil Palmeras and Punta Prima thrive into the morning sun, especially in the height of the summer season, when the population of the Orihuela Costa explodes, many veues hosting early morning "chill-out" events, way after many of the bigger clubs have closed their doors, blasting out the sounds of the scene, from R 'n' B to dancehall, euro-disco to funky house to tek-house to ambient chill out, all on the doorstep more or less, keeping you off the streets, your feet stomping and your adrenaline levels pumpin'.

As always, when you are in a strange place, make sure people know where you are. Stay with friends, keep a hold of your drinks...and..if you are being 'naughty' ( all senses of the term)....use common sense, don't over-do it and keep your friends close. The O.C.team advocate responsible drinking and consumption of everything else.
