Villamartin. Inland on the Orihuela Costa
Probably best known for 2 things....Villamartin Championship Golf Course and Villamartin Plaza, Villamartin (referred to as villa marteen) is slightly inland from the coast, but very easily reached via exiting the N332 at La Zenia (1st exit) and following the road up, past Los Dolses mall (the one with Lidl), over the bridge and follow the road.
Same from the AP7..exit at La Zenia, and follow the road over the bridge.
Villamartin is almost hidden away by the imposing trees as you drive toward it. Hit the plaza and the story is ery different. Cool and elegant, the palm trees gently sway on a breezy day, shading you from the intense heat of the sun and you can have a cafe con leche, a refreshing clara (shandy) or a meal, day or night.
Night times around the Plaza are simply buzzing. The sound of happy revellers fills the air into the wee small hours (some of the locals may wish it a little bit quieter though) and Villamartin provides all that you need to be happy and care free. Although not on the coast, there are beaches galore a short drive (no more that 10 minutes to some) and Golf is the name of the game, with Villamartin Champoinship Golf Course, being right on the doorstep.

- Shopping - A small range of shops, banks and local supermarkets are available, but all else is merely a short distance away
- Dining - Sabores del Mundo (world cuisine), from kebebs to feasts to sugary treats.

Villamartin Golf Course exudes class as soon as you wander through the pleasant entrance gardens complete with fountain and statue of an angelic lady golfer.
You won't be disappointed by the 6037 metre, par 72 course either, with enough to challenge even the experienced player.
There are some great holes and plenty of expensive eye-catching mansions on the perimeter of this stunning golfing expanse of beauty.
